Thanks for the GREAT mystery! Everything was laid out for a perfect evening, and enough room was left for "artistic license". Everybody had a blast. We'll definitely be using your mysteries again!

Mark down the dates Wednesday, January 20th and Thursday, January 21st, 2010!

That's when the B&B Mystery Weekend Workshop will perfect the skills of a select group of innkeepers. The picturesque setting for the event will be the rolling glacial hills of Southeastern Wisconsin, a few miles from Lake Michigan.

THAT'S RIGHT!

If you are an innkeeper, you can spend two exciting days with your peers learning the Mystery Weekend planning skills that will increase your B&B's visibility and add profit to your bottom line. When you leave the B&B Mystery Weekend Workshop, you'll have all of the preliminary work done to stage your own Murder Mystery Event.

I'll share with you my (gulp!) 27 years of experience in putting together a well-crafted murder mystery that will make your guests tell other people about what a great time they had. AND . . . they'll come back for more.

YOU'LL LIKE THE AGENDA . . .

The first day of the Workshop (January 20th) will be spent working with you to thoroughly master the step-by-step process that leads to a successful Murder Mystery Weekend.

It will include how to:

  • Market the mystery.
  • Involve the community and (possibly) other inns in orchestrating the weekend.
  • Stage a kids' mystery to encourage family participation.
  • Select the scenario that works best for you.
  • Assign roles and facilitate the mystery.
  • Follow-up with your guests.

On the second day (January 21st), you and your fellow innkeepers will actually stage a murder mystery using one of my exclusive kits. Attendees will play all of the roles and facilitate the mystery, followed by a comprehensive critique and Q&A session.

PLUS . . .

Here are the extras you'll get when you register for the B&B Mystery Weekend Workshop:

  • Three of my mystery parties ($119.31 value). You can pick the ones you want at the Workshop and be able to begin staging your events as soon as you return to your inn.
  • A copy of my Super-Secret Murder Mystery Writing System ($89 value). It will guide you step-by-step through the process of writing your own murder mystery party.
  • Individual guidance and support as you finalize your own Murder Mystery Weekend, and the chance to share ideas with your fellow innkeepers (priceless).
  • The hometown ambiance of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, a Norman-Rockwellesque village that was featured on the cover of the book, Main Street USA (equally priceless).

AND WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE OUR VENUE!

The Washington House Inn in Cedarburg, a 19th century B&B on the National Register of Historic Places, will host the event. All of our sessions will take place at the inn - PLUS, you'll receive a 10% discount on your room when you tell Wendy Porterfield (the innkeeper) that you're a Mystery Weekend Workshop participant. The discount applies to ALL of the Washington House Inn rooms.

Just take a look at the inn's website to see how this renovated gem of a building adds the perfect touch to a mystery writer's inspiration.

And Cedarburg itself, an old mill town of 11,000 people founded in 1846, has over 200 buildings on the Register. It's a popular tourist attraction that will be an added bonus to your B&B Mystery Weekend Workshop. Browse the website of my hometown and you'll see what I mean.

WHAT ABOUT COST?

The registration fee is only $397. The extras that are included in the registration total $208.31, so factoring them in means it's really $188.69 for the Workshop. You'll pay your own expenses and might even want to stay an extra day or two to tour the surrounding area. Milwaukee's General Mitchell International is the closest airport, but some people prefer to fly into Chicago or Madison.

Our select group will be STRICTLY LIMITED TO EIGHT INNS. That way everyone will have the chance to participate fully. Just click below to register for the Workshop.

You can bring a second person to the Workshop at a Special Fee. Your associate or employee can attend the entire event for only $197. This person MUST be part or your organization to take advantage of this offer.

Plus, your associate will receive:

  • One additional mystery party ($39.77 value). Pick it at the Workshop.
  • Two of my Kids Mysteries parties ($55.94 value). Kids Mysteries are a great way to attract families to your inn. You can run them at the same time as your Murder Mystery Weekends.

These extras are worth $95.71. That means your associate's registration taking the extras into account is really only $101.29. Register yourself and your associate RIGHT NOW by clicking on the link below.
